Your local, friendly admin assistant

Based in Ambrosden just outside Bicester, I work as a freelance admin assistant for sole traders and small businesses throughout North and West Oxfordshire including Bicester, Kidlington, Witney, Chipping Norton and Banbury.

I am fully insured for both public liability and personal indemnity.

I have over 25 years experience as an administrator and have worked across several different industries being a 'jack of all trades' when it comes to general office tasks including accounts administration, customer service, sales and marketing.

As I am used to working for small companies and sole traders, I have a keen understanding of the workings and problems that a small business can experience. I am friendly and approachable and very easy to work with. I also have experience as a trainer and so I can help you to understand your business admin, basic accounts and any other skills you may be lacking to run your business effectively!

Accounts Administration

I hold an AAT Foundation accounts qualification and can help with the following:

  • Basic Bookkeeping
  • Sales & Purchase Ledger
  • Invoice raising inc. credit notes
  • CIS - authorising sub contractors and submitting monthly returns
  • Preparing spreadsheets for you to pass to your accountant – you can even just hand me your bag of receipts, cheque book stubs and your bank statements and I can get them all onto a spreadsheet in a format your accountant can easily work with
  • Experienced with both Sage and Quickbooks
  • Credit control – are you owed money? I can chase and persuade your customers to pay whilst ensuring that they still remain ‘your happy customers’

Database Creation & Management

With many years experience at database building and cleaning I can:

  • Update your current customer database
  • Build you a new customer database from scratch
  • Cleanse and maintain your database on an on-going basis

Mail Merge

Need to send out letters to all your customers but just don't know how, let me:

  • Take this hassle off your shoulders
  • Professionally written letter with all mail merge data in position specific to each customer
  • Envelopes addressed correctly and stuffed with the corresponding letter

Email Marketing

Let me help you keep in regular contact with your customers:

  • Professionally designed promotional email newsletters
  • Keep customers up to date with your services and latest news
  • Send all your customers an email with urgent information in one hit
  • Email shots will always include your logo and all contact details including web links

Computer Training

Not very computer literate? Don't worry I can help with:

  • Basic training on getting started with your PC
  • Introduction to Microsoft Office software
  • Letter writing, documents and spreadsheets
  • How to use emails safely and securely
  • How to use the Internet to help your business

Charges for Admin Work

I charge £20 per hour for my time.
Charges are made to the nearest 30 minutes and my minimum fee is 1 hour.

Charities / Non-profit Organisations

Discounted rates are available for charities and non-profit making organisations. Please contact me to discuss these lower rates.

Travel Charges

Work can be received by email, post, CD-Rom, USB memory stick or hard copy. A free collection service is available for clients within a 10-mile radius of Ambrosden (OX25 2SL).

If you are based further than 10 miles from Ambrosden, then the first 10 miles are free and after that I charge 50p per mile.

Terms & Conditions

Invoices for my work will be raised weekly or monthly depending on our agreement and payment will be within 7 days of receipt. Payment can be by bank transfer (BACS), cheque or Paypal.
